CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A shrub form of the climbing crimson rata. It forms a low growing spreading shrub with small shiny green leaves with yellow margins on long lax branchlets. Masses of bright carmine flowers appear in spring. Eyecatching! It needs a site sheltered from frost, in sun or semi-shade. Will not thrive in dry soils. Will cascade over rocks or walls.It was selected by Jim Rumble of Duncan and Davies Nurseries. If planted close to a wall or fence it may revert to is climbing form and attach to the wall and climb that way.
