Lonicera hildebrandiana
Vigorous evergreen climber with extremely strong climbing stems. Attractive deep green leathery oval leaves on the stems. Large strongly scented honey-brown, tubular buds open to cream centres. The blooms fade to white then turn orange before falling. Highly fragrant on warm still evenings. Best in warm site with plenty of space for climbing. Tolerates light frosts and dry conditions, though prefers good moist soil.
