This tree has a most distinctive growth habit, upright and informal, often looks like a twisted spiral. The rich green foliage adds a depth and colour to the garden. Apart from removing lower branches, it should never be trimmed, it would lose its interest. Very hardy to many climates and soils. Water to establish. Fabulous planted as an informal hedge row.
