Large deciduous shrub with long erect branches. Fabulous rounded rich purple foliage in spring and summer. Beautiful yellow-orange autumn colours. Showy clusters of pink flowers in summer, giving the illusion of smoke. Hardy. Deciduous, great for dry sites. Sun or semi-shade. Wonderful for colour and contrast in the garden.
