Helleborus
Evergreen perennial with deeply divided dark green foliage. Leaves are deeply lobed and narrow, and smell unpleasent if crushed. Clusters of drooping, bell-shaped, greenish-white flowers with pale green bracts bloom at the tips of leafy stems in winter and spring. Best in a sheltered shady site, tolerates dry conditions.
