Acer japonica 'Bloodgood'
Medium, rounded, deciduous tree with dense, arching branching. Large deep maroon red leaves. Red flowers bloom in pendant racemes in spring. Flowers give way to winged samaras. Excellent bright crimson Autumn colour. Hardy to cold, though needs a sheltered site with good soil to reach it's full potential.
