Acer japonica 'Katsura'

CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Medium, rounded, deciduous tree with dense, arching branching. Leaves emerge orange-yellow margined with orange in the spring turning a fresh green in summer. Red flowers bloom in pendant racemes in spring before the leaves emerge. Flowers give way to winged samaras. Excellent bright yellow and orange Autumn colour. Hardy to cold, though needs a sheltered site with good soil to reach it's full potential.
