CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Tender perennial with pungently-scented, ovate leaves and slender spikes of beautiful brick red flowers in late summer and autumn. Waxeyes flock to it for nectar. Best in sun or semi-shade in well-drained soil with some protection from harsh frosts. Does very well under my tree canopy. Cut back after flowering. Semi-evergreen.
