Blechnum chambersii
A low growing fern with a stout erect rhizome, occasionally forming a short trunk. Forms a dense crown of long narrow fronds. Frond surface can be light green but usually dark green, sometimes a dull red. Abundant throughout New Zealand. Easy to grow Prefers a semi-shaded site, with a little filtered sunlight. Best in loamy soil and leafmould. Hardy.
