Callistemon viminalis 'Captain Cook'
       
    
A graceful shrub with a flattish spreading top and mid-green leaves on weeping branchlets. A brilliant cascade of bright red bottlebrush flowers in spring and summer, with a smaller flush in autumn. Tolerant of poor dry soils once established, though prefers some summer moisture. Provides nectar for bees and birds.
