Brachychiton acerfolius
A spectacular tree with large glossy green broadly lobed hand shaped leaves.The leaves will fall before the tree flowers. Flowering is in late spring and early summer when the outer branches form a cascade of waxy red bells hanging on red stems. Best flowering after a dry autumn. The leaves regrow after flowering. Best in hot, dry conditions, in good well drained loamy soil.
