Epimedium x versicolour 'Rubrum'
Compact ground cover perennial that slowly spreads by rhizomatous branches. The heart shaped leaves on thin stiff stems, are green tinted reddish when young. Dainty spurred blooms of red flowers in spring. Prefers semi-shade or shade, thriving in a moist woodland situation. It will also grow in dry, sunny sites.
