CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
A bushy mounding shrub with tangled densely divaricating yellow-brown to orange branchlets. Small well spaced mid-green glossy pinnate leaves. Through the late winter and spring it has clusters of small bright yellow to orange flowers. These are full of nectar for the native birds. Very hardy and grows well in most well drained situations. It occurs naturally in grassland and rocky places, east of the Main Divide from Marlborough to Canterbury.
