Prunus lusitanica
Tall bushy tree with red glossy branchlets. Large shiny dark green oval leaves, paler underneath. Large dense clusters of scented small white flowers in summer, followed by dark purple berries. Hardy to all but very dry conditions. Used often to create a dense dark green hedge, very attractive.
