Densely tufted tussock of a graceful habit. Fine shiny silvery-green erect foliage with a flowing habit. Slender flowering stem, tawny colured. Best in poor dry soils in an open situation. Great for exposed windy sites. Common in coastal to subalpine regions in grasslands, shrub and coastal cliffs. Sea level to 1400 m.
