Plagianthus regius
The largest of New Zealand's deciduous trees. Narrow densely branched habit when young, growing to a tall spreading tree. Soft green leaves with toothed margins. Masses of creamy to lime green flowers in spring make a fabulous show. Found naturally in lowland forests. Grows in most soils but best in good soil that does not get too dry.
