Wisteria sinensis 'Amethyst'
A most vigorous and beautiful climber. This plant flowers in early spring as the deep bronze leaves emerge. Leaves turn a dark green. The flower racemes are 18 cm long, densely packed with reddish violet and purple flowers. Flowers have a strong sweet scent. Very hardy. Prune after flowering and in the winter if necessary. Good for pergolas and walls.
