Viburnum carlesii 'Aurora'
Attractive deciduous shrub with beautiful dull dark green leaves, turning wine-red to muted purple in autumn. Clusters of spicy-sweet fragrant white flowers that emerge red in bud in late winter-spring. Grows well in sun or part shade, in well drained soil. Tolerates dry once established. Very hardy to cold and frost. Great for shrub borders, and near where the fragrance can be enjoyed. Blue-black berries.
