Teucrium chamaedrys
Compact low growing aromatic shrub. The almost prostrate stems are covered with dark green leaves with a purplish sheen, silvery underneath. Forms a dense mound of creeping stems. Long stems of urn shaped rose pink flowers with darker veins, on erect stems through spring and summer. It prefers a sunny well drained site in friable soil. Trim well after flowering. Hardy to cold.
