Sophora
A small tree with an upright form and pendulous side branches. From a distance the leaves appear grey-green. Clusters of yellow flowers from mid-spring to early-summer. These are full of nectar for the native birds. Very hardy and grows well in most situations. It occurs naturally in open forest, along rivers and in open places throughout New Zealand.
