Sophora microphylla var. Longicarinata
Tall slender tree with gracefully weeping branchlets bearing mid-green pinnate leaves and very fine leaflets. Through the late winter and spring it has clusters of pale yellow flowers. These are full of nectar for the native birds. Very hardy and grows well in most situations. It occurs naturally on the limestone rocks of the Takaka district in the North-west of the South Island.
