Sophora microphylla.
Tall bushy tree with a tangled juvenile stage of small leaves on mustard brown divaricating branchlets. It matures to spreading branchlets bearing mid-green pinnate leaves with a tawny tomentum. Through the late winter and spring it has clusters of bright yellow flowers. These are full of nectar for the native birds. Very hardy and grows well in most situations.
