Densely bushy shrub that can form suckers, with attractive dark green glossy leaves on tall arching stems. Small cream flowers produced in winter are fragrant and followed by black berries. Hardy in most soils though prefers a humus rich one. They are fantastic for dry shady sites. Will grow in the sun if given enough moisture. Very hardy to cold and frost.
