Salvia leucantha 'Santa Barbara'
Bushy compact perennial. Downy long silver-grey leaves. In late summer and autumn it has spikes of rich velvety mauve-purple flowers that look great against the grey foliage. In cooler climates it does die down in winter, best to cut the stems back and let it grown away again in spring. Best in a sunny site in free draining soil.
