Raoulia subericea
Native, prostrate alpine plant. It is widespread in the South Island in all but the wettest mountains at altitudes of 400-1500m. Its habitat is tussock grasslands. It forms loose mats of coarse grey-green leaves. The flower heads are surrounded by papery, straw-coloured petal-like scales with blunt white tips.
