Protea cynaroides
Spectacular shrub that is the national flower of South Africa. Bushy spreading shrub with large rounded glabrous mid-green leaves. Huge wide open flowers mostly silvery pink in spring and summer. Likes a sunny position with well drained soil. Does best when it does not dry out too much in summer. Generally will regrow if cut back. Fantastic cut flower.
