Othonna cheirifolia
Small evergreen shrub. Tight mats of upright silver-blue foliage are topped by flower stalks of yellow daisies in late spring. It performs amazingly well through both hot, humid summers and cold, wet winters. Will perform best in hot sun and well-drained soil. Native to the African countries of Algeria and Tunisia, and planted extensively by UK garden designer Gertrude Jekyll in the early 1900s.
