Muehlenbeckia astonii
Much-branched interlacing shrub with slender reddish-brown branchlets, and small glossy heart-shaped leaves. Tiny cream flowers can be followed by translucent white berries. Grows into an interesting hummocky rounded shape, great as an informal hedge. Grows well in most soils, and is hardy. Occurs naturally on both islands in coastal to lowland riverbeds.
