Leptospermum scoparium 'Mahinepua'
A hardy dense prostrate shrub with aromatic foliage, branches have brown flaky bark. The leaves are dark green. It has exquisite white flowers in late winter and spring, these are well displayed. Wonderful food for the bees. This is a cultivar of our most common native tree, it grows naturally in many different sites and is very hardy. Great for growing in difficult ground. This plant was collected from the wild by Terry Hatch, of Joy Plants, and named L. ‘Mahinepua’ after the place of discovery in Northland.
