Heliohebe hulkeana
Bushy shrub with long branches. Oblong glossy dark green leaves with reddish margins. In spring beautiful large branched sprays of pale lilac flowers make a great show. It will grow in sun or semi-shade, best in well drained soil, in a warm site. Hardy to exposed and coastal sites. Will not grow well in a humid climate. Occurs naturally in Marlborough. Lightly prune to shape. Remove old flower heads for best results. A treasure.
