Geranium macrorrhizum

Rhizomatous semi-evergreen perennial which forms a thick, weed-resistant ground cover. Deeply lobed and rounded, grayish-green leaves. Leaves are strongly aromatic when crushed. Leaves have attractive red tones in autumn. Long-lasting purple-pink flowers with inflated dark red calyces appear above the leaves in late spring to early summer, often with some sporadic rebloom occurring throughout summer. Very hardy in most conditions.
