Erythina crista-galli
A sub-tropical tree with large glossy green leaves on spiky branches. All summer there are spectacular spikes of scarlet-red pea shaped flowers on the branch tips. Plant in a sunny position in free draining soil. In frost conditions the tree will die back, then re-emerge agin the spring.
