Cornus alba 'Elegantissima'
Large shrub with prostrate to erect stems, glabrous, becoming red in the autumn and winter. Large ovate green leaves broadly margined and mottled white. Good autumn colour. Prune out older stems to encourage the new brightly coloured ones. Very hardy to cold and wet or dry soils. Lovely planted near ponds.
