Clematis lanuginosa 'Fireworks'
Deciduous climber. Beautiful large showy flowers 15 cm wide with a dark petunia-red bar on a bluish-purple background. A slight twist to the sepal give a spinning effect. Flowers late summer and Autumn. They flower on last season's growth, so prune only the dead and weak stems out in late winter. Trim to shape after flowering. Best planted with the roots in shade.
