Ceratostigma griffithii

Bushy shrub with rigid twiggy branches and purple-edged green leaves. Leaves are strongly tinted red in autumn. Terminal heads of gentian blue flowers cover bush throughout late summer and autumn. Best in semi-shade, will tolerate dry conditions. Best to trim well in the winter to maintain its shape. Avoid very cold sites.
