Carex testacea
Graceful colourful tussock. Densely tufted plant with fine rich orange-green leaves which turn golden-brown or orange in winter. Good for containers or garden contrast. Flowering stems are longer than the leaves, and eventually lie on the ground. Hardy to cold, prefers even moisture, will grow in sun or sem-shade. Lovely plant to combine with other small native plants.
