Camellia trichocarpa
Erect growing bushy shrub with deep green and heavily veined leaves.Through spring the bush has attractive white flowers and nicely contrasting yellow stamens. Lovely as a specimen or hedge. Hardy. Prefers a sheltered site with good soil, though will tolerate dry conditions. Not widely seen in cultivation it has a subtle beauty of its own. Good for for birds and bees in the winter.
