Blechnum novae-zealandiae
Clump forming low growing fern with a distinctive shuttlecock upright crown. Forms a dense crown of broad lush fronds. Frond surface can be mid green but usually dark green, sometimes a dull red. Abundant throughout New Zealand. Easy to grow. Prefers a semi-shaded site, with a little filtered sunlight. Tolerates poor soil. Hardy.
