CATALOGUE DESCRIPTION
Compact shrub which grows into a rounded shape. One of the best azaleas for autumn foliage, with dark shiny leaves turning dark red in winter. Superb large carmine red flowers from late winter to mid spring. Grows best in lime-free good soil that does not get too dry. Prefers semi-shade. Hardy. RHS Award of Garden Merit.
