Aloidendron barberae
Aloe bainesii This giant succulent forms a short stocky tree with a heavy broad trunk. Rosettes of bold sword like bronze-green leaves are carried on the branch tips. Heads of 3cm long bright pink, tipped green, tubular flowers on 50 cm branched stems. Summer flowering. Avoid planting in wet cold areas with heavy frosts. Prefers a dry sunny site. This grows into a very imposing 'architectural' plant, very much a feature.
