Agapanthus praecox 'Purple Cloud'
A large clump-forming perennial with strap-like, strong broad bright green leaves. On spikes it has umbels of semi-pendulous deep-purple flowerheads in summer, the stems may grow up to 1.5 mt tall. Grows in many soil types, but they must be well-drained. Flowers best in a sunny site, avoid heavy frost. God plant for difficult steep baks, edging drives or the back of a border.
